That’s Adorable of the Day
Tumblr blogger Julie ran into this little guy in a friend’s insect collection and decided to throw him a birthday party, knowing he would soon die. Thanks to Tumblr’s support, Julie set him free.
I found this caterpillar for a peer’s insect collection. Knowing that he would ultimately meet his death, we decided to throw him a birthday party.
Edit: Because of the outcry, the caterpillar was returned to a nice tree to live out its days. Refer to the recent post for proof!

11/30: Land’s End
I grew older today
losing safety of youth
I feel it in creaking bones
and weary eyes
but my lips stay full
with the fruit of spring
I fashioned a ukelele
out of a sunken stump
and strung violins
with weeds from the trail
I walked along the coastal path
and met the red gate
Cypress fingers pulled me in,
gathering wind like a sail.

i made this tonight, and it was GOOOOOOOD.
Dylan.

I’ve been on a Dylan kick today. I’m watching No Direction Home and sketching him for a practice portrait. I just found out it’s his 69th birthday today…a little eerie.
